Tournament Rules

  1. All entries must be received by July 31st of the contest year.

  2. Only original photos taken at the Scarborough Renaissance Festival may be entered in the competition. Entries must be original color prints. Entries must be at least 3" x 5" in size and can be flush mounted on light weight board. If submitting digital photos, you must include a disk or CD with the actual photo files (a minimum dpi of 300 is required) along with your prints. Limited to amateur photographers. A photograph may be entered in only one category; judges reserve the right to change the category of an entry.

  3. The seven categories are: Entertainment/Stage Act, Crafts, Musical, Jousting, Portrait, Customer Interaction and Miscellaneous. A Best-of-Show will be awarded to one of the winning photos from those seven categories. Each category winner will receive one (1) Limited Edition Stein and one (1) season program; the Best-of-Show winner will also receive two (2) Friends of Faire Passes. All of the winning photographs will be published with photographer recognition in the next season's program and on the Scarborough website.

  4. Each entry must have a completed entry form securely attached to the back of the photograph (or a 3x5 card with your name, address, daytime phone number, email address, and photo category) Do not pin or staple. Please include a brief caption describing the photograph.

  6. All entries become the property of Scarborough Renaissance Festival and will not be acknowledged or returned. Scarborough Renaissance Festival assumes no responsibility for the photographs. The winning photographs will be chosen by a panel of judges.

  7. Upon entry of photo(s), photographers grant Scarborough Renaissance Festival and Southwest Festivals, Inc. the right to publish the photo. Entrant also allows the display of photos in exhibits, educational, and promotional presentations and in the promotion of the Tournament of Images.

  8. There is no cost to enter, and you may submit as many entries as you like. Multiple entries may be mailed in one envelope.

  9. Employees and participating vendors of Scarborough Fair and Southwest Festivals and their immediate families are not eligible. Void where prohibited.
