How do I become a Friend of the Faire? The easiest way is to purchase your Friend of the Faire membership by clicking on the link above. Alternatively, you may call our office at 972-938-3247 and place your order. Note that while Friend of the Faire memberships can also be purchased at the Festival, Scarborough offers special advanced discounted pricing ticket pricing before April 3, 2010 (price is $135 at the gate). How do I get my photo ID? When you purchase a Friend of the Faire ticket you will be given (or be able to print off) a paper bar-coded ticket that you will turn in for your photo ID pass. When you present the bar-coded ticket we will take your picture and make your photo ID. You may have your picture taken at our booth at the North Texas Irish Festival (March 5-7, 2010); or during the week at the Scarborough Renaissance Festival office (beginning in March after the Irish Festival - please call for an appointment); or at the Friend of the Faire Preview event on April 4; or when you first attend the festival. For the first two weekends of the Festival we will be set up in the souvenir area by the front gate. You can also email your photo for your Friend of the Faire Pass ID to SRFpics@gmail.com. Picture size should be 400 pixels x 300 pixels with a file size of at least 500k. You must include your name, the name on the ticket, and a daytime phone number where we can reach you. Your photo ID will be completed upon your arrival at Scarborough. If you would like to use your photo from last year, send the following information to SRFpics@gmail.com: type of ticket purchased last year (Friend of the Faire or Season Ticket), type of ticket purchased this year, name on last year's ticket, name on this year's ticket, and a daytime phone number where we can contact you. When do I get my two free tickets for the first two weekends? Your free tickets are attached to your paper ticket, at the bottom. You can use them both at once or cut them out to use one at a time. Can I bring my friends to the Friend of Faire gathering areas? Only Friends of the Faire are allowed in the gathering areas. How close is the "Close up" parking? We will reserve a block of parking spaces in the lower lot every Festival day. However, where you wind up within this block of parking spaces is determined by when you arrive. You may be at the start of a parking block or 65 cars back at the very back of the block. For the past several years we have begun parking our upper lot at about 10:30 am so you are well ahead of anyone else. However, you should be aware that if you arrive at 3pm or later there may not be any lower lot spaces available. When is the special Friend of the Faire preview? Sunday, April 4, 2010 from 1pm to 6pm. We will begin taking photos at 1pm; dinner service will begin at 4pm. The preview is open to Friends of the Faire only and passes will be checked at the gate. Please call the office at 972-938-3247 no later than March 24, 2010 and make reservations so that we can properly prepare for all our guests. When do I get my Friend of the Faire pin? You will receive your pin when you receive your photo ID.
